I think I'm the only person active who's up here but I'll post this anyway.
Tarland Gone to Seed. Saturday 22nd February.

They did seed saving workshops last year and the page has the notes available to read. It's a lovely town and the scenery is magnificent. it's the next valley over from Royal Deeside where Balmoral is. The poster at the bottom gives the wrong date (Saturday the 23rd) but above it says the 22nd which is accurate.

Yes, very true! If I make it this year (we get back from a short break late the day before so it's touch and go) I must make sure I get there early - 10.15 was a bit late last :)

Yes, very true! If I make it this year (we get back from a short break late the day before so it's touch and go) I must make sure I get there early - 10.15 was a bit late last :)
They are trialling a slightly different system this year to control the scrum. You arrive with your bags labelled with the variety you want and their volunteers will serve you. Not sure how successful that will be. I like to pick out my own tubers - hen's egg size. Also I think there will be quite a queue building up behind popular varieties. Still see how it goes.
