Have had a good success neighbour and i in growing gourds now when do we harvest and how do i cook? as i wish to eat if possible rather than decorate of which people have said you can do neighbour has lost the packet  :ohmy:

Oh dear...

Get some advice before munching gourds as, although squash are edible, some gourds are not I believe.

If you can post a photo of them I'm sure someone will come along with some advice and pointers for recipes.  :)

Most gourds are sold as "ornamental" gourds. They are just that. I'm not saying that eating will them will kill you, but they may be unpalatable or at worst upset your digestive system to verying degrees.

Some may be edible, but if you've lost the packet, I wouldn't risk it.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
