I had a Phillips juicer, it worked by centrifugal action - the juice got forced out through the sides of a metal mesh basket with really tiny holes.

Although the juice was really nice, it was definitely a nightmare to clean as the pulp etc got stuck in the mesh holes.  It might have been OK in a dishwasher but I don't have one of those.  I gave it away as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle and didn't want the juice badly enough to persist.

I had the same experience.
I also found I needed loads of the veg/ fruit to get a decent amount of juice.

Do you still use it, Janet, or is it hidden under the stairs ?   :)

It lay useless in a kitchen cupboard for ages, so I chucked it away (in the appropriate recycling facility at the tip of course  :) )
