Soft poached eggs are so easy..  Val makes a nice pasta with cheese sauce and bacon bits. If there's a small amount left next day, warm in the micro and drop a poached egg on top. Wonderful, cover in Flora to save me from the cholesterol

nice idea john but drop the uncooked mixed egg on top then nuke it yum yum

poached egg on top of soup is nice aswell with a swirl of double cream  .a HFW touch.

... on a green salad with warm crispy bacon and black pudding ... bliss!  Well it will be now I can poach an egg.

Dont want to sound like a food snob but, after having to use the microwave when my cooker packed up recently,have come to the conclusion that you cannot poach or scramble eggs in the microwave. All you get is some sort of very poor substitute.Glad to be back to only using it to defrost , for some of the junk the kids like,for popcorn,and for my favorite microwave snack -muffins with cheese.
