I am just wondering if anyone keeps quails or knows anyhting about them? I have heard that the egges you can buy in supermarkets are often fertile? Is this true and has anyone tried putting them in an incy?

This could be somehting we might do at school if it has a chance of success as it might be possibel to find 'holiday homes' for quails  so we could keep them more easily on site than chickens or ducks

Hi we once hatched some from supermarket eggs   - a  few years ago,

The trouble with quail is they are the cutest little chicks and then all they seem to want to do is escape or rip each other to pieces, lots of people love to keep them but I would'nt bother again - chickens and ducklings are much nicer
