lay them on a screed hockey,
mix a barrow of sharp sand to 1/2 bag of cement thats about 6-1(no water).
remove the sod etc and get a hard base to screed off, idealy you should put some MOT down but for down the lotty and cost i wouldnt bother.
tip your mix on the floor and =sceed it of about 50-70mm deep with a spirit level (use the bubble to level your screed) drop your slab onto the screed without disturbing it and give it a few taps to bed it down with a rubber mallet, and just carry on untill its laid,
if you spot the flags on a wet mix you will be making a nice cozy home for mice/rats/slugs and god knows what else.with a screed you have no gaps under the slabs.good luck
feed the soil not the plants

I just laid my slabs straight on the earth and levelled them as best I could. Then I got some slightly bigger strips of treated timber than those supplied with the (wooden) shed and put the floor section on that. If they don't supply one it's just plywood.
You could probably bolt a metal shed straight to the slabs.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Tack a strip of metal lath/mesh across the ends of your floor joists to keep rats out.

Thanks for the tip!

Talking of rats, I have just seen a mouse trying to enter my house (I had the patio door open) 5 minutes ago  :?  :?  :?  I managed to redirect it outside but god, I still have goosebumps about it...

It looks like you can only read the first message and the rest is done by email. That is a bit annoying because then you have to look for other posts to make sure it hasn't been taken before you ask for something you have seen. Or maybe it is me who doesn't know how to use it ?

I should go on it more regurlarly you are right. Do they give away sheds as well ? :D

They give anything away - folk on this forum have picked up greenhouses!

I don't understand your problem in reading the messages. If you go direct to the group itself, you immediately see quite a few recent messages. On the lefthand menu, if you click 'Messages', you can view them all.

Hi, yes, I was one who got a greenhouse from freeserve, however, by the time I'd paid a chap to take me to collect it, bou7ght all my y,s z,s and bolts plus pavers cement etc etc, the cost was going up! then the Big Fellow upstairs started to show the warped side of his humour, and the heavens opened! That isn't the worst of it though! Our allotments were burgled and the thieving toerags stole all my bits and pieces so now I have half a very expensive base with the other metal bits laying round it some broken glass and no money! Still not going to give up though. :x  :x
I know less today than I did yesterday, and I knew nothing then!
