Title: pumpkins pumkins and more pumpkins
Post by: rowlandwells on October 25, 2019, 19:49
went out for a bit of retail therapy [shopping] today and i was so amazed how many pumpkins where on sale every where we went there where pumpkins from £2.50 to £1.50 and although we have pumpkins the wife actually bought another pumpkin?

why may one ask and indeed so well she bought a different pumpkin to ours  not an orange one but a grey one the variety crown prince said to be an excellent culinary variety with a sweet rich flavour so that's what's why she  bought for cooking [soup] and other recipes  and not Halloween as i thought it mite be used for  ;)

so  yippee i said  I've  had already ordered a packet of crown prince last week  for next year under instructions from someone who shall remain nameless  :D

Crown Prince is my favourite and I grow them every year - so I hope you enjoy it. I’ve tried others like Rouge vif d’etampes but my family love Crown Prince the most. It’s fantastic roasted in chunks, it almost caramelises.  :D
