Thanks Guys for all the replies I appreciate them all.
Perpetual Spinach looks like it's the perfect crop, it's easy to grow, keeps on cropping, doesn't get bothered too much by bugs & the weather & the seed can last years.

Spot on :D

It's perfect for the home grower. It doesn't keep very well fresh, which is why you won't see it in the supermarkets, but that's not a problem for us because we can pick it when we plan to cook it!

I love perpetual spinach and I've been picking leaves from my 6 plants since September last year and they're still going. ;)
They look like they might start to bolt and I just chop that main stem down and leave the outer leaves to keep producing until I need that space for something new.
I plant half a dozen plants generally and that keeps me in delicious spinach for ages.
I can't grow baby leaf spinach - it never does as well so now I don't bother - I stick with perpetual and it is delicious :D

Then let me add another point: children also eat it. :D

Sorrel is also like that, both are a good spinach ( a much fussier customer) substitute.

Hi Guys another PS question. I have sowed my PS seeds one seed to a module but 2 or 3 seedlings have appeared in each module? Do prick the weakest out? I'm confused!

They are composite seeds - like beetroot - several seeds in a clump.  I tend to let them grow together - but I am idle/softhearted when it comes to thinning out.

Crumbs, so the 500 seeds are actually 1500!  Good value or what.  I can feel a trip to the GC coming on.
