Hi Everyone from I'm from the very rainy North East today. I've just taken over an allotment and intend to apply no dig method, anybody using this method and any tips, I've scoured you tube videos and cant wait to get going.The allotment is mostly a blank canvas so starting from scratch once i cut all the 3ft high weeds down. :lol: ::)

Hi there, I changed to completely no dig last year& wondered why I’d never done it before. Some people get very het up about it, mainly about the quantity of well rotted mulch you need initially but as my plot was relatively weed free as I’d had it for 10+ years I didn’t need the recommended 4-6 inches, although I put down as much as I can. Last year I really upped the compost production & made approximately 6-7 cubic metres, not bad for an old bird 😂

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you have lots of weeds to chop down some can always be the start for your compost bin, or should I say bins. Best to have at least a couple, some people have three or more, and easily use all the compost too. Hope your plan comes together for you
