Camelia with no blooms

I'm on a roll today! The same customer who has the Viburnum also has a Camelia (not sure what variety) that has never bloomed. She can't remember if it came as a cutting or a plant. It is now about 2' tall and looks healthy, with glossy green leaves. The soil in her garden is acid. The Camelia is in part shade and sheltered from the wind. Any ideas? Thanks, Lesley

It might not be old enough to flower but it could be helped along by a feed now ion the year of azalea food, plus keeping the soil moist throughout the year.

Drying out in the summer will cause developing buds to drop

(That sounds silly when I look outside at the weather

i think they dont like too much rain as well mines dropping perfactly good blooms , it does need a good trim .

We have 1 in our garden that was about 4ft high and had next to no flowers each year.
Last year I put a 1Lt plastic bottle into the ground at it's base and put some slow release granulated fertilizer in to it and made sure it was water at least once a week using this bottle.
This year it was a mass of flowers.
