poor evie has come out in awful bruising on one of her wings, nothing appears broken. but she looks very battered.

its bright green, right through her wing, thankfully she's eating well and drinking, tho feeling the cold a bit more than the others.

hence how she ended up as evie.... she's more or less naked.

Perhaps you could make a tube out of someones old football sock to keep her warm  and give her some protection? poor litttle hen! Perhaps cut out holes for her wings? Or is that a daft idea!

Is there a need for a mass sleeve knit ?

Hen sleeves could be the next bog thing for Christmas.

She needs lots of TLC abd good food Babe.  Her wing looks painful. but it will get better with time.  She looks like she'll be a lovely bird.  What a fantastic job you're doing Babe  :!:  :D

That has got to be one of the saddest pictures Ive ever seen. How can we allow hens to be cooped up in such a way that they end up like that. Im steaming with rage!

I used to be able to knit...veeerrrryyy slowly.

Julie knits but she's doing a cardi for someone at the mo.

I bet she'd do a few hen warmers if there's a need. And I bet we've got some pink in the HUGE bag of wool on top of the wardrobe !

R

How about Hen puffa jackets made from immersion heater jackets ?
...maybe not.

Poor little bird...I'd just get one of those slings we used for babies and carry her around until she's feathered! Can't wait to see the piccies in a couple of months time. Give her a few grapes, (black if you have them), from me! So hope she gets right soon, poor little Evie. So sad to see her like that, just great that she's with someone who'll care for her now.
