Title: Potatoes in pots
Post by: wales1000 on April 29, 2009, 21:11
Hi all, I have put some seed potatoes in a large outside house bin and have read about not to overwater them in the early stages. At the moment we are having our fair share of rain, should i put the lid on the bin or just leave it to take all the rain fall? Also how often should i water then when the weather warms up.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have drainage holes in the bin?

as long as they are suitable for a deluge then you will be fine, you dont need to out the lid on...mine drain well for me
In answer to your other question, keep well watered but not soaked...you'll be able to tell by your own weather conditions.
