I love the deck halfway down the stairs.  That just asks to have hens sunbathing on it  :)

Thank you! We are quite pleased with it. Mesh skirt buried down as far as possible, so hoping and praying it will do the job and keep them safe. Living here, think I'm more worried about badgers than foxes. Such strong determined little crits.
Off to have a look see of a local breeder today. Not buying, just checking out.

Palace is the right word. Very smart and I trust that your feathered friends will do their bit to keep it tidy ' you made that mess , you clean it up!!'  oops sorry getting mixed up with my children!!

Glad not to see a felt roof , haven for those pesky red mites. 

You do realise that your birds will use those steps to assert the pecking order especially when it's sunny AND we will expect to see pictures.

Our enclosure is made of wire mesh panels screwed into two courses of breeze blocks buried in the ground and touchwood we have had no problems. 
we also rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, grow own veg
