Just been reading about purple tomatoes

Good or bad ?

There are plenty of purple tomato varieties, without resorting to genetic modification, I'd much rather grow one of those than anything from a laboratory.

Going by what I read in the article, it was grown in the UK, and modifeid in the UK
There are lots of crops that have been GE modified, rice, wheat, barly
It took many years to check if they were good for human consumtion
I'd try them

I don't disagree with people who are cautious about GM crops, to each their own. As for myself, I am fine with eating GM crops.

So am I, I know they do a lot of research with GM crops before they release them to the general public
I remember when they were trying to help get rice to survive being submerged or coping with droughts, I think that was about 20 odd years ago
They have GM crops here in the UK, wheat, barley and farmers are using them now
I think shops have to list anything that has been a GM crop

Personally, I think GM can only be a good thing for farmers and the public
