I have a green house that I am donating to another allotment user (my plot is too small for one and my garden is unsuitable) anyway they have a restriction on size of greenhouse allowed.

Can you saw bits off the aluminium and not fix all of the panels in so that you turn say an 8 x 6 into a 6 x 6.

Don't see why you cannot, you would need a saw and a drill but it shouldn't present any problems

Thats what I thought but then there may be some technical reason that I wasn't aware of, so I thought ask the experts.

Just have a good look at it first and make sure the measurements a r spot on Shortening is not a problem only 5 pieces to cut two bottom rails two top rails and the apex rail then miss out two side bars and two roof bars .

Like i say be careful with the measurement aliminium is easy to cut doesn't glue back very well though

measure twice - cut once

take the bars off and cut them in a vice ,making them square  drill ina pillar drill using a stable bit of wood to drill through the metal into the wood i put a vent in a greenhouse roof doing just this . the double check ur measuring is crtical .but you can get new bits from the site i addresed on another recent post on greenhouses
