Destroying seeds
« on: September 17, 2007, 18:52 »
I popped into Robert Dyas yesterday just for a browse, came across a bargain bin loaded with seeds that were good until 2009, I took a few to the till to check the price and the woman said that they should have been removed from the shop floor yesterday so I couldn't purchase them. I asked her what they were going to do with them all and she told me that they return them to Johnsons every year at this time for destroying. Am I missing some logic here?

Reasonably organic but totally realistic

Oh yes do Richy, maybe they were telling porkies or maybe they'll rethink their waste policy.

They saw you coming Shaun. Richie thinks I paid over the odds at our local nursery at £2.49 a kilo.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
