can someone advise me if I should sow sweet William and wallflower seed this month ? replies appreciated

I sowed my wallflowers last week. Always had good results. Don't forget to thin them as they grow.

just when I was about to sow my sweet William and wallflower seed down came the rain so it looks like I'm going to be a bit behind in sowings as the ground will take several days to dry out hope that's not going to make things to late?

No it should be fine. If you are at all concerned though you can sow in trays and transplant when large enough. I tend to do this as I don't need along rows of either, just a dozen or so plants of each.
If you are going to grow in the open ground, just add some fine compost to the drill and to cover them, so that the surface of the soil doesn't "cake" as it dries and prevent the seedlings from getting through as they germinate
