Being a chef , working in one of those "gastro pub" in london, I am lucky enough to have a non stop source of vegetable peel and old veggies to take back home and turn into compost or worm food.

I don t know if some of you had a thought at  doing this, but kitchen create vegetable waste during the daily preparation . A chef ( the type who like food, and not a microwave maniac) like fresh produces straight out of the ground, or a couple of jar of  nice homemade pickle/ chutney/ jam . So why not having a word with your local pub and bribe em for bin bags of vegetable peels and other food for compost.
I know the laws aren t helping this, but, it might help em and help the plot.

I agree lefrog. I work in the catering industry and our chef very kindly saves all the vegetable peelings and waste for me daily. As I've only had my plot since August and am starting from scratch, this material has certainly boosted my very new compsost bin! I am hoping to reward the chef with some fresh produce come summer!
