I got a cock with a few chickens to start me off, but I forgot to ask the bloke I got them off what sort he was, can anyone tell me please.

He looks like a typical farmyard mix, not a specific breed (though I'm willing to be educated if I'm wrong ;) )

Just a couple of things though... I'd trim his spurs, or at least take the ends off otherwise he is really going to damage your girls.  And secondly, have a good look at his feet, it looks as if the scales are raised on the fronts of his feet, so you may want to treat for scaley mite (you can use a spot on for kittens/puppies) just in case :)

He is a fine looking specimen, whatever "make" he is. Is he a good crower? He looks like he could be quite vocal!!! I bet your girls will be forming an orderly queue for his affections!

Welcome from me to the board by the way, I dont know if anyone else has welcomed you yet, but Im sure you'll find us a friendly, although sometimes ever so slightly mad lot!!

Wow, if I'd known generic males were like that, I'd have ignored my neighbours and got one anyway.

Tut, girls are well boring.

He love singing and a mate has an allotment across from me with a cock and its funny as hell once they both start to sing to each other.

I have a few chickens that are playing hard to get but in two weeks time Im picking up 16 more chickens, so he will be one happy fella lol.

What a handsome lad he is!  Who needs pure breds when you have a charmer like that?  ;)
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!
