Title: who or what is my little chick please???

I was given a mixed batch of eggs for my broody, but only 1 hatched. Can anyone tell what breed I may have hatched please?

She/ he looks like a cuckoo maran or speckaldy to me.

I would say CouCou Maran and judging by the thickness of the legs, possibly a boy!

Thanks. mr first thought was a cuckoo maran, but the pictures I googles of their chicks showed a very dark blacky chick, but when this little one first hatched it was a lot yellower.

Cold this still be a cuckoo do you think?

You can have light or dark CouCou Marans so it could be a light one. I've checked photos of Barred Rock and Scots Grey chicks and it definately isn't one of these as the legs are yellow on your chick. I'd still say a Maran (but I could be wrong)!
