yey   We've got two new girls in the hen house  

Joining Miss Celia Peckover, Mrs Dorothy LaFowl & Miss Jean Broody we now have ....

((drum roll please...))

Dame Clara Cluck - a very noisy young Bluebelle - and Little Miss Sunshine, a beautiful, almost completely white, young Amber.

Popped them in the house this evening to let them settle down, then let the others in one by one as it got dark - all quiet and peaceful at the moment, so hoping they'll be friends by the morning.

Please, please, please let us have no more disasters  :thumleft:
but lots more eggs

They spent most of the day sitting in the house looking terrified, but Sunshine has ventured out this afternoon; I was getting worried that Clara wasn't going to get to eat or drink, so I left the others freeranging for a while and left her shut in the run ... eventually she ventured out for a little while, but every time the others go near she runs for cover...there's been a little bit of pecking and wing stretching, but no blood or feathers, so fingers crossed they'll all settle down.

Hope she's going to feel a bit more confident tomorrow!

Just went out to check they were all starting to settle down OK for the evening having been put back in the run about an hour ago, thought I'd better go out a bit earlier than usual ... walk out of my back door to find Little Miss Sunshine wandering up and down on top of the run!  She must have found a gap somewhere from her hidey hole under the hen house ... glad I checked when I did, I might not have found her if it had got dark.

Watch this space - she may get re-christened Little Miss Houdini
