Hi. 
This my first time on forum and not knowing what to say and always email John Harrison well here go's                  I have a old mountfield MK1 rotavator was given to me some time back and never used. And I would like to put it to work again so I hope that you all can help.
Was told that it needed a total service and parts but before I start with spanner I thought that I would try John's garden forums and put it out and see.
Told had points and condenser if so where and what is the gap.
Plug gap.
Where to get parts .
And that it had run on leader 4 star petrol.
And only get unleaded now so I bought a bottle of RedEx but did not know the rate to a litre.
I may well strip it all down and rebuild maybe but to see if it starts and run's before getting into that.
I hope that there is someone  on our forums that can help me. Sorry it's so long to say what I had to say but I did say that I did not know what to say. All the best to you all from.      DAVE.

Do you mean Mountfield M1? I think they mostly had Briggs & Stratton engines, they will run OK on unleaded as the US went unleaded in the late 1960s. Points 0.020" and plug gap 0.030" Any Briggs & Stratton agent will have engine spares. No parts are available from Mountfield for the chassis side.
