Hi. I'm new to the site and hope someone can help. I have a back problem and so my new veg beds are very high but to weed them I need to use a dutch hoe and I would rather not butcher a full size hoe to shorten it. Does anyone know where you can buy a hand tool dutch hoe? All the hand ones I can find are pull hoes which means I still have to bend a lot to use them. If not are there any metal end childrens hoes that might do? Can only find plastic ones. TIA

What about the wolf garden tools you buy the handles separately in different lengths.

Or B+Q sell a hand stirrup hoe

There are a few different Japanese hoes about (most short handled) I have one like this

or search 'hand hoe' on ebay there's a few nice ones there :)

Hello, not a hoe but my suggestion would be a hori hori knife. I’ve been using one for the last year and it’s the only tool I use, other than a big fork it’s on my belt as soon as I get to the plot and comes everywhere with me. If you haven’t used one before I highly recommend getting one and giving it a go.
Hope that helps.
