Title: Guesses at make of greenhouse
Post by: Wes on April 30, 2020, 20:54
Hello,

I'm posting mainly as I'm interested, I dont really need to know...

The plot I inherited had a greenhouse on it, which I was offered and took up for £50.

There's more broken glass than I'd hoped (almost 50%), and it's big stuff ("dutchlight" / 730 x 1422), but I've sourced some reclaimed commercial stuff for £4 a sheet, which seems reasonable enough.

The door needs a fair bit of work including new runners (which I'll manage to bodge somehow), but I'd be interested if anyone happens to recognise the manufacturer / model.

It looks a good few years old and has passed through a couple of hands. It's 12'x10' and quite tall at more than 8.5', the 12' appears as though it's two lengths coupled together.

Has anyone seen one similar to this before? I've added a few photos taken when it was dry last week 🙂

Thanks for your help,

Wes

I was going to say Eden but to be honest that is a well made greenhouse and above an Eden, which is a good entry model. I would certainly pay good money for that! If you take out the glass and the fact that you will have to remove it got to be worth buying :)

Hello be careful trying to put metric size glass into an old greenhouse it'll need 1/8of an inch clearance round the sides Dutch light sizes are usually 32inch ×58  and are a pain to handle I took 10.000 out of a green house   jezza
