Shrub ID please...
« on: June 15, 2014, 12:40 »
This grows in a garden very close to 'The Patch', and is a picture at this time of year! The owner hasn't a clue!

Can someone give it a name please, (not like Sidney, or Griselda..;0)

It looks very similar to elder?........
Sometimes you have to accept that somedays you are the pigeon and somedays you are the statue!

 I bought one at Malvern show to replace the one I brought from the other house & put into the front garden. We then had that all dug out last year so I lost it,but didn't want to be without it as it is so lovely.

Aaaah, thank you everyone!

I said to Mrs Growster this lunchtime, that I'd get an answer from the Girls by this evening!

(Might have been a different sort of 'answer 'when I was a much younger Growster..;0)

Thank you again !

x!

I love black elder the flowers are just coming out now as big as dinner plates.

Just cut it down each year in the spring and it will soon burst into life.
