I think I asked this on the main forum last year, but does anyone know any good recipes for artichokes?
I tried the "boil and then pick off the leaves dipped in melted butter" method and they were vile  
I love artichoke hearts in jars when they are in oil and garlic, but have no idea how to do that.

Please help, I really don't want to give them all away again this year.

Only the heart and the very base of leaf is edible.

Cook with salt and vinegar, stake out the hearts and dress with olive, red peppers and feta or similar cheese.
