Its a bulb planter and the side has a spring on the handle so it will go in and out, apart from bulbs, what other use (or good) can it be used on the lotty? I dont suppose I can put spuds in with it? (seems far too small for that)

Yea that's the one, someone gave it to me, and i cant see what use im going to get out of it, that's maybe why he gave it to me!! :tongue2:

use it to plant your taters, or any plant that you've grown in pots or modules ;)

Could you use it to mash spuds :D

I grow loads of leggies in the coffee cups from the office / canteen machines. I've made a planter that is exactly the same dimensions as the inside of the cups. So it's out with the soil plug and in with the veggie plant. Root disturbance - nil.
I'd check the size against a cheap or free cup and use those with this gadget in mind when it comes to planting out. Cheers, Tony.

I have used one in the past to remove weed tap roots.

I dig a spade depth and then use the bulb planter to go a bit deeper. Plant potato then put the earth back as the plant grows, saves to much earthing up.
