Solar power must be a better option in France than it is in the UK but your main problem is that you'd have most of it when you didn't need it.

Wind is more 'in phase' with your needs but both sorts would need battery banks to ensure continuous supply, read expensive.  This would also suggest DC lighting to avoid expensive invertors.

For what you describe (very low consumption), I'd suggest an AC mains supply is a better way to go.  Would it be too expensive to install mains?
