Plotfather managed to finish the path with Wombled bricks while I planted strawberry runners and did a bit of harvesting, and a bit of digging. Old Joe told me it was too early to plant garlic so I put it back in the shed until mid-October.

I went down there, spent 1/2 hour eating raspberries, then came home.

I had grand plans for today and took the day off work as loads to do on the plot.  It was forecast to be cloudy but dry...it rained and rained and rained  So all I managed  :( was a quick visit to pick beans and some flowers for the house.

Spent few hours digging up grassy path and all the manky carpet underneath! Hard work  Given broccoli by plot neighbour and had nice chat with other. All before it rained  :)

rained all day so I bought seeds.
We had a quick dash up there in the car to get veggies for dinner - all looking really very, very wet.

Picked lots of straight runner beans for the allotment show tomorrow. Now to find 6 the same length and width.

Turned over the broad bean bed to be ready for the winter onions.

Weeded.

Did a lot of harvesting.

Then my plot neighbour asked me if he could walk through my plot as there was a large fierce German Shepherd dog that wouldn't let him out of his plot!   Said dog duly followed him into mine.   It looked like a lost guard dog and snarled at me when I went towards it.    Mobile phone battery dead so couldn't ring the dog warden.

It followed us to the gate which I unlocked, it then followed my neighbour out.   He made for his car pronto and I locked the gate quick.  Hopefully it found its way home without eating anyone.  Quite unnerving.   No idea how it got in to start with....

Picked the last of the toms, some more yellow courgettes and some crook necked squash. While picking said squash knocked one of my unripe butternuts off - I could have cried. Brought it home just in case I can ripen it off...

I also cleared some more of the new half plot

Chopped off loads of nasty mildewed leaves form the Hundredweight, Mars, Jack Be Little pumpkins and the Sweet Dumpling squash. All now looks very bare and bedraggled and I can see the weeds that have struggled through.
