The green 'alley' leading to our plots is full of them. Lots of pele also have them on their plots so there isn't too much competition... I have found some blackberry growing in a suitable place on my plot although I inadvertently ended up chopping a lo too it back this year. Once I have finished weeding in it and removing the nettles etc i am going to train it along a wire fence at the edge of my plot

The walkway to our plots used to be full of brambles 'til some idiot householder chopped  the whole lot down to ground level.  They didn't even take the branches away... just left them where they fell.

Watered the polytunnel.
Planted some "marketmore cues" as mine died on me when I went away on hols. Just trying to see if I'll get a late crop. If it works out will stagger some sowings next year!

snipped the tips off runner beans, French beans, cucumbers, pumpkins and achocha. Gave everything a good weed feed.

Picked MORE runner beans.  Picked some purple queen french beans (very nice).  weeded, picked more sweet peas.  Except for the french beans it is a re-run of yesterday and the day before...

A lot of chatting  with C & a cuppa with him. Finally got the last of the leeks in all 17 rows of 12 leeks =204 leeks so plenty of soup during the winter I hope. helped the beans to make the transition from the upright poles to the strings on the Munty frame.

Put the netting on my new fruit cage (NEVER want to that again - spent more time tied up in the netting than anything else I think!

Picked yet more green beans (really am drowning in them now), my 2nd courgette, some rainbow chard and some tomatoes.

Yet more French beans, peas, radishes and carrots picked and onions put to dry in the greenhouse.
And weeding. And turning the bolted celtuce into compost fodder!!!!
And for the record here is the sub £30 greenhouse!

Not allowed on the plot, hubby takes the keys with him now. 

I did however stitch up two debris netting covers. I am going to stand up the hill gazing through the fence at this rate. I didnt realise he had the keys till we wanted to go for a stroll
