(Ooh BQ..low back pain...)

Covered the ex strawberry bed with cardboard and dumped loads of green stuff on it.
Dug up a fennel that has bolted to try it in soup.
Dug up some potatoes and they aren't as clean as they were so I think it is time to dig them all up.
Put some of the onions whose tops have turned over on the rack to dry.

we are picking several pounds of blackberries every day at the moment, only 2 more days until I can get to the plot next.

back home swept the patio & applied Patio cleaner- H*ro- to try & get of the black mould spots that appeared over  last year & the winter. Mr S jet washed it a couple of weeks ago & although it made a difference it's still stained. Got Indian sandstone so I suspect not ideal for our climate.

No I hadn't seen that but thank you very much, wish I'd known that before I shelled out on the 2 bottles of cleaner. Can try bleach next then.

Finished the main digging of the green bed - whooop!!!!  :D Got that done before 10.30 and the worst of the sun. Then headed over to Mum's to pick her fruit - 2kg sour cherries picked, halved and stoned, 1.5kg blackcurrants picked, topped and tailed and ready to be jammed.

Off to the plot again tomorrow (last day of the holidays) to put plants into the new bed. And then a little bit of gloating over it... :D

Nothing for me, been having really low back pain all day and its getting worse so i am sat on the sofa and my chutney hasnt been done yet.

Hubby has however gone the plot with a flea in his ear as he hasnt watered or rubbed eggs off my cabbages so i have had to ditch about 40 they were seriously wrecked  >:( i am not a happy bunny to say the least.
Hmmm, low back pain and a history of babies born back to back... Sounds familiar.  Good luck if you have a baby before your next post! :D :D :D

Oops forgot to say what I did today in all the excitement about BQs back pain!  :D. Weeded, watered, picked raspberries and then made raspberry jam. Oh and made more nettle feed.
Now panicking about pruning the summer rasps that have pretty much finished.  Don't want to get it wrong!  Avoided the problem last year by just not pruning them but suspect only got away with it because it was their first year.  Will have to get brave!

Harvested and watered.  Was planning to get more done but my plot neighbour came over for a chat and that was that!   :)

Although we are all happy that BQ is without doubt "growing her own" I'd like to point out to BobE that as far as I know "roasting marshmallows" is way off topic in this thread.
