Weeded the walk-in brassica house on my mates plot this evening then watered everything well as tomorrow is supposed to be our hottest day.
Also gave the garden at home a good soaking.

Watered my toms and removed a few lower leaves. Then weeded and will return tonight to water.

first time in a week went to the plot, picked a bucket of beans and peas, some onions and potatoes. with a week off due to my new job, a few weeds had grown, but lots of crops to harvest.

Went early to do some watering. Found another sweetcorn had been attacked by badger/deer so I on,h have 8 left now grrr and they are showing their 'ears' (don't think that is the technical term but you know what I mean!). I have barricaded them in with some wooden pallets I have on the plot that I am intending to break up soon so hopefully that will do for this year and then I will have to plan something better next year!

Watered and harvested
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

The boys have gone up now. I am a bit jealous as i wanted to go but they will get more done that me right now. I am just melting doing nothing.

The first seven courgettes came down the hill and pots went back up so lets see what comes home.

Not sure hubby will be digging as its still so hot here.

just back from 2 hours of soaking everything, harvesting 4 lbs beetroot and a bowl of raspberries. There will be plenty of courgettes in a couple of days and there is now plenty of fruit coming on the toms.   :D lovely evening

just back from my other half plot, a bit of harvesting, a bit of weeding, half a bucket of peas, plus a couple of runner beans and a couple of french beans, the runners have lots of red flowers too.
had a few spots of rain as I weeded the cabbages and brassicas under the net.
