Planted the sweetcorn out in the drizzle today.  I also planted some beetroot plants out and a couple of cup and saucer vines gifted from another plotholder onto the pergola.

down the plot by 8.30, spent 1 1/2 hours there, got another 1m2 of the strawberry patch dug / weeded, picked a takeaway tub of mange tout, and dug up a couple more volunteer pots for a handful of new pots for tea.

So far: Hoed / Weeded: Sweetcorn, Strawberries, Garlic, Onions, Chard, Lettuce, Fennel, Kale.

Planted 5 bush squash inside my Runner Bean trellis out of curiosity. Have plenty of other squash so no worries if they dont work.

Quick cup of coffee, washing out, couple of hob nobs and then back for the afternoon!

now have strawbs planted, garden tidied a bit, wheelie bin water butt shifted 6" sideways and old bricks cleaned of cement and stacked up as a dry wall round wheelie bin, tucked away ready for use but looking decorative.

Spent the morning at our plot with my youngest.  He helped to water everything and replace some slug-eaten zinnias  with spares I had in pots  . We also fed the beans, pumpkins/squashes, courgettes and sweet peas with liquid tomato food.  The first courgette is on its way...

We havent made it yet, this afternoon we potted on about 60 cabbage, hubby was not impressed with the idea and showed it on his face. 

He also murdered some of my swedes but that is another story. 

Had a pot and tray reshuffle so i could sweep up three million kiwi flowers again.  the asparagus peas look ready for transplanting so once the pots come down the hill they will go in.

Plot will be done when its a bit cooler as right now its toasty outside

Did lots of weeding, thinning of lettuce I had let get a bit carried away and also more of the big clearing. Managed 5 wheelbarrow loads today which was good - also managed to get stung more than normal - the nettles seemed particularly sharp today 

Finally gave the toms and celeriac a feed and water!

Second bash at the lottie for the day; Dug over an area 13mx2m ready for 10x Purple Artichokes & 24x Butternut to go in. Plugs planted and watered heavily, netted. Came home to do some big batch cooking, full pot of bolognese on and full pot of rendang curry on too. Now sitting down with a cup of coffee

Rain stopped so it was time to plant more spring onions, radishes and carrots. The weeding and tidying up the edges of the plot by hand because I don't have a petrol strimmer and Nick who does was not there! 3.5 hrs later retired home for a cup of tea and a slice of carrot cake!

Pulled out broad beans and planted spinach, Chinese cabbage and beetroot (ready for chutney beetroot queen!)  also weeded, watered made my first ever nettle tea, planed little gem in the salad bed, and the purple sprouting in the nursery bed.  I'm beginning to get the hang of this...!

I trip to take some compostable waste & added to bin,came home to sort out the greenhouse out But didn't get that far as I broke my toe

Picked and picked and picked, nothing else got done. Hubby has gone to do the proper stuff.

Early to the allotment , picked some lettuce and new potatoes Lady C , looking very good . Watered and weeded then tied in the runner beans to stakes as some had decided to go walkabouts.secured netting over strawberries , then home to sow seeds of Basil and Oregano. Checked on Tomatoes in grow bags , all looked well so,went to the beach to enjoy a healthy salad inc new potatoes etc.
