well I did have a long list of jobs to do... then within 10 minutes of me getting home from work the rain started.
My "alternative" to allotmenting for the next 2 weeks is watching the tennis, and can't even do that tonight as rain has stopped play :-(

Thinned the lettuce, turnip and swede. Weeded the potatoes and watered. Raining now

Picked another 3 Kgs of strawberries plus some carrots and lettuce.  Then it started to rain heavily so went home.

Picked the first half pound of ripe strawberries. They are quite big this year compared to the small misshapen ones of last year.  Just one berry weighed almost 2 ounces!
Picked some broad beans, but they were quite small yet.



and got rather wet...

got a few strawberries in from the garden, was starting to spit as I came in, its been raining steadily since.

It was lovely actually ...... we had some bad news at school  :(
