I weeded and prepared 2 beds for the strawberies that are on order from Marshalls 30 bareroot runners for @£11.00  bargain!!

Also did some clearing and digging my back is stiff now.

Replanted 4 raspberries as cats or foxes keep digging them up on pooing on them!!!!

Hope to get down to allotment tomorrow if it dosent rain!!
I have the same coming just hope the delivery is faster than their Seeds  :(
I cook therefore I grow

I planted out my onions and garlic that were potted up in modules last year, and sowed some pre-chitted parsnip seeds in between the onion sets that went direct into ground last year.

I also moved some cauliflower plants that I put in late last year as the ground was boggy and a few plants had rotted.

Did a bit of weeding too.  Doesn't sound like a lot but we thoroughly enjoyed being out in the sunshine for a couple of hours today!

The sunshine was lovely, wasn't it :)

I cleared a load of old, recently cut, brambles from the back of the shed and burnt them  8)  Marked out my beds with string and just did a bit of digging on one of them.  That was enough for me  ::)

At last got round to sorting the raspberry bed. It was a mess that we had left until last after taking on the plot last year. Asparagus bed now ready and waiting for crowns to arrive, planted out broad beans grown at home in recycled plastic cups, tidied leeks and bought some home, given some garlic so will plant out tomorrow.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Did some serious digging and now ache all over.  Harvested the last of the leeks and parsnips.  Netted the psb.  Planted my Longor shallot sets and 2 rows of Red Baron onions.   Back tomorrow to plant the rest of the Red Barons and the Sturons, plus some weeding.

Put debris netting over 2 raised beds which are now ready for planting.  Also planted some Shasta Daisy, Alchemila Mollis and Aquilega in the cut flower area.

I had my cousin's kids come round so we had to walk round the garden and i had to tell them what all the plants where , Thank god wanted a drink and to go down the river before they got in the green house full of herb cutting or you wouldn't be hearing from me for a long time .

Shasta Daisy = a favourite as it reminds me of my grandfather's garden.

Just got back from planting shallots. Our allotment was broken into last night. The padlock was smashed on main gate . Luckily, nothing seems to have been taken. The large tool shed has been made totally secure and a few sheds had padlocks broken. Apart from this, it felt good knowing that spring is on its way :)

Turned the compost in one dalek bin and added in lots more shredded paper as it was a bit wet for my liking .

All settled back in nicely now  :D

The other bins are good to go, once I start potato planting  :D :D
