As you know I have a small plot 24 feet by 50 feet, anyway, I have convinced eldest child that he really needs a plot as well (I wasn't allowed to have 2) and the woman from the council has left a message today saying there is a vacant plot for him.

I know I will end up doing most of it but it means we can plant twice as much and I have convinced the youngest that slave labour is fashionable so we should have some family fun too.

two plots is much better than one if you can manage it

Well it is 2 small plots so equivalent to one normal plot.  I was having difficulty planning the one I have cos there just wasn't enough room, this way we can split each plot into 2 main beds so should be easier really to grow enough of what we want.

amazing how you can fill a plot then before you know it you have loads of room mainly when the spuds come out,

Well done fluffy, my 15 yr old son has a full plot with his friend, only time they let me near it is for hard labour !

You must be real proud of those 2 lads... :D
Sally (N.Ireland) Organic as far as I know!

Plant plenty.  Celebrate success.  (Let selective memory deal with the rest.)

Nice one Richy, I don't think my 15 year old is that keen so I'll just use him for hard labour.

And Shaun, the problem I had with just the 1 plot was if I planted my spuds (only bought 2 bags from Wicos) then I didn't have space for anything else.

Going to dig over original plot on Sunday and put manure in (acquired last week) so at least I will be able to put my spuds in after Paddy's day.  Trying to plan out the plots now, doh.
