It's time to start some serious sowing and growing. Here's what I'm sowing now.

glad to here your on the mend john but I'm a bit sceptical about seed sowings to early especially in a cold greenhouse although we are using our  propagator to  start some onion and tomato seed of

i think I'm going wait a little longer before i start seed sowing maybe the weather mite and i said mite improve once we get into March he says with some optimism but having said that if you want early crops then its well worth the effort

we used to start early sowings in the greenhouse when we had heating but having a solid fuel boiler we needed supplementary heating at night and what with both some kind person reporting us to the council for our chimney smoking and the cost of a propane heater it was not cost effective

but  good luck to all those who have the facilities to start seed sowing early

The big benefit of the Vitopods is the lighting - if we get a sudden cold snap in April - it's happened before here: then the  Vitopods will keep them warm and lit. Adding another layer copes as they grow taller.
Knowing my luck someone will see the growlights and I'll have the drug squad raiding the potting shed :)
