When I finally managed to get down to the plot (after glossing all the paintwork in the living room) .... I put Stuttgarter onion sets in this afternoon (120+)... gave everything a good watering in the greenhouse... cleared out the chooks shed and put new bedding in... hoe'd 2 other beds ready for planting... and did a bit more general tidiying up.

We went to Newfoundland a few years ago on a diving trip.

They have the strangest accent it is sort of Irish with a Canadian twist  In fact Newfounfland ( St Johns is like a mini Ireland )....and they call Onions, Honions .........I loved it and it kinda stuck....

Its really cute  :D :D

I've got rows of spring onions, lettuces, various radishes, beetroot, turnips, broad beans, peas and chard all growing, summer cabbages and brux. sprouts in modules, just waiting for carrots to show up and I shall be sowing some more rows shortly under cover.  Also sown runners and courgettes in large pots.

I repotted 12 san marzano toms and 8 assorted salad ones as they weren't moving in the compost they were in from first potting >:( Hardly any root growth. Hope they recover if not i'll have to start again  >:(
Started chitting my sweetcorn, and potted up the chitted runners.....only 50% viable so far!
Have decided to risk the first lot of toms, and put them out on the g/house staging checking forcast daily of course. I need the window ledges for the next lot of sowings
