Hi sorry to bea pain, Aunt Sally, you say you put your worming stuff in a grape!  Do you cut the grape in half or what ?  I don't want to give her a whole grape without asking she might choke,  past couple of days i have made a paste of bread and water and put it in that which she eats ok

Yes we are all at work    Don't know about grapes a small grape would be OK, seem to be able to skoff my raspberries ok tho', as long as they get the worming stuff can't see it will make much difference what it's in
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Thanks.  we have just built a new house but she not very keen on it at the moment  keeps wanting to go in the old one but keeping door shut so she can't,   planning on getting a couple of new girls once she settles and putting them in old house as its got a run with it inside the big run (if that makes sence) then they can look at each other and make friends while old girl can still roam as much as she wants while they get used to being here .  Do you think that a good idea

Yes sounds like a very good idea they need time to get used to one another to try to avoid to much falling out.

Hi Jane

Doesn't matter how you get the wormer int the chooks really.  My hens would kill large dogs to scoff (whole) grapes

Just anything you know they will eat  :D

I have no experience with such young birds I'm afraid.  I like to get POL which have had all the vaccinations by then.  There are many chick rearers here, though,  who will help you.

Thanks Aunt Sally.  They seem very settled, having brought them home from school today-2 dark ones and a pale yellow "Easter" chick.  I spent about an hour just watching and talking to them-good job there was no-one around-but talk to all my animals so no reason to change for the chicks!

Once, again a big thank you to you all for your replies to my Qs-there are bound to be more, although I do look in the other posts/stickies first.
