growing in a pile of manure
« on: January 28, 2009, 20:05 »
i've heard of people growing plants straight out of their compost heaps, but can you grow straight out of a pile of manure?  i've got a pile of rotted cow manure that isn't going to be shifted until next winter, can i plant a squash plant in it?

No reason why not at all - most do!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Seeds are SOWN, planting's for plants (and bulbs & tubers)!

My grandad build a small coldframe for the top of the dungheap and grew lovely cucumbers ! !
Still glowing, still growing, still going strong!
