Off work this week so i thought i`d go down to the lottie yesterday to see which jobs i could get on with. Unfortunately the soil is still frozen solid, so not much going to be happening there.  :(

I did a bit of tidying up instead, got my seeds from the shed so i can have a sort out whats going to be first planted.  I had planned to re-felt & paint the shed today but suprize, suprize - its raining!  :x

Looks like i`m going to be on here all day then!

At least my rhubarb is showing its face again   :D  :D

This thing called winter is stopping lots of us with allotments getting anything done. If the sun comes out it hardly makes a dent on the wet underfoot here at the moment.

7 days without damp or frost with sun and a gentle breeze would be lovely

That's nature for you - the way it's meant to be.

You can bet that if we had a warmish day, people would be on their plots, compressing the structure of the soil and sowing seeds way too early!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I know what you mean, I have been reduced to three working days a week, trying to look on the bright side I thought 'Great, I can get on with some outside jobs and the allotment.' How wrong I was. :(
To make it worse, my missus works from home so I can't do anything inside the house without disturbing her.
I can't wait for spring, i'm feeling fed up, bored and skint :(
To top it all the bleedin' dog has had a stroke so I can't even take him out for a long walk.....the poor thing.
If you feel depressed after reading this, then there is a topic in 'chatting on the allotment' called 'Cheer up'. There's some fantastic photograph's in there which will really cheer you up. :D ................Mmmmmm, sausages........

Better winge here than at home.  Less likely to get decked/starved/yelled at/thrown out * Might even get some sympathy .... :D
