Thornless Blackberry

They need a lot of space once they get going. Mine is planted in the middle of the end wall of my shed, which is 8ft wide x 12ft long, and by summer the end is covered and it has long branches that reach half way round the sides as well.
This is quite good IMO she talks a lot, but it's mostly good sense

I've planted the blackberry into a large pot instead of in the ground as I don't want it to get over big. The terracotta pot is around 18" deep by 15" diameter so it should be ok in there... I popped some compost, topsoil and fish, blood & bone in the mix and plopped it int' ole, now I just need to get some wire so I can train it when it starts growing. I've placed it against the fence which gets sun until just after lunchtime and there's a good 7mtrs either side of it to spread out and produce me some yummy blackberries!
