mmmm,  my other half didn't want anything to do with the allotment when I got mine, he soon got into it though, has a great time chatting to all the other blokes on the site, he's even going to try and win the longest parsnip this year  :)

Well i am pooped we tipped a shed on its side and rolled it on to my plot and it is still in one piece and rather sturdy then we tried another one to make in to a chicken house and it went splat so we dragged it onto our bit and are going to put it up in the morning the soil has been totally rottivated but there is loads of hard lumps how do i make it in into fine soil it is really dry we can't wait to get back in the morning lol

Good luck & enjoy it. If you want to break up your soil clods try bashing them down with the back of your fork. If this doesn't work either water the soil well & wait until it has dried out a little & try the bashing process again, or wait for a few days after rain & bash again. Lots of bashing either way I'm afraid.

well it is the morning and it has been raining a bit in the night so hopefully the earth will be damp enough for me to rake and bash it to get the huge lumps out!!!   hopefully anyway
