Title: Rhubarb

My Father-in-Law has dug up a few rhubarb crowns for me...
Today, I dug over an area about 3' diamater, dug in some horse muck and covered the crowns with a couple of buckets.
Now that I've done this....was it the right thing to do, and the right time to do it ?

You're forcing it. I think that's the right thing to do. I watched a program on telly where they were taking the crowns indoors into dark sheds to do this.

Thanks for the link John - very useful article.
I'm trying to be a bit smart now, and have removed the bucket from one of the crowns and left one on. This is obviously my version of a highly scientific experiment !!
