I took the children to the pet shop knowing full well they would want to look at the hamsters, the front room didnt look right without the hamster palace

We saw two little white russian hamsters, who they wanted to home as a pair
so we............................







Now have two new girls Clementine and Tilly Beany  :D :D :D :D

Oh, let him (or her) have a ferret they`re great fun and are a lot less bitey than the average hamster who are grumpy little so*s when you wake them up.

Ferrets are always ready to play.  :)

OMG  :ohmy: thats awfull didn't think hamsters were like that - mind you I never had Russian ones, just ordinary pouch filling little ones called titch and hammy (how original is that  :lol:).

OMG  :ohmy: thats awfull didn't think hamsters were like that - mind you I never had Russian ones, just ordinary pouch filling little ones called titch and hammy (how original is that  :lol:).

That was my now 19yo sons pets about 12 years ago. My 10yo keeps askin for a hamster and he cant have one after that, It was horrific - bones and digestion and the lot! (sorry BQ)

He has to make do with two dogs, a few fish and a mum and brothers as pets now :lol:

My sons had gerbils, but when one of those tried to make an escape I grabbed it but it shed its tail and still got away  :ohmy:, I was left screaming with it's tail in my hand. Captured it later and it lived without it's tail for another 18 months - but I wouldn't touch it again. After that my sons had to make do with bigger pets  :lol:

They jump. our old one didnt do that, first time handled last night but they dont like it at all.

I think they are alot younger than 12 weeks like we were told  :mellow:
