I do a daily poo pick up with some old beach spades, and a major clean out once a week. I also use a stiff yard broom to sweep out the run every couple of days. I must admit I've been pleasantly surprised at how clean the coop stays, far cleaner than keeping a rabbit.

I agree I was surprised how easy my 4 are to keep clean.

I tried news paper on the bottom of the coop with aubiose over the top but they have realised how much fun it is to shred it for me, perhaps I should try the Times instead of the local rag, they may have more respect?

im suprised how easy it is to keep the coop/run clean also. every morning when the girls get up, i poop scoop the coop (owww that rhymes  :D), sort the nest boxes out. then i put the feeders and water under the coop on the flags. about  teatime i remove the the feeders as this seems to encourage them to eat the stuff they have thrown around. after they have gone to bed , i sweep the slabs under the run, then wash with the hose, we the poop scoop the run, hose down the perches, logs etc. we then empty any food into an old margarine tub s we can wash the feeders and water containers. this sounds like a lot , but actualy only takes 15 mins cos we keep on top of it. i will be giving my coop a good clean once a week and periodically replacing some of the bark in the run. hope this helps
