Laxton apples
« on: September 26, 2009, 12:23 »
I have a Laxton apple tree laden with lovely biggish unblemished  fruit.  It say eating time is Nov - Feb. Should they be left on the tree for a bit longer or should i pick them now, they are coming away easily.  I have an apple rack to store apples.
Thanks

If the apples are coming away easily I would pick them and store them before a gale strips the tree, or birds start pecking a neat hole in each fruit.

Cheers,

Gillie
