Title: Courgettes and multiple sowings
Post by: Swing Swang on September 25, 2020, 09:19
My courgettes gave me an acceptable early crop, suffered from powdery mildew July, hung on and are now  taking up far too much space, but are now looking healthy and cropping again.

My inclination next year is again to sow in the first week of April for the PT, a little later for outside, then again for the PT

Logic
- take an early crop from the PT, then cull the plants as they start to take up too much space
- take a maincrop from those planted outside
- have healthy, but much smaller/compact younger plants in the PT for when the outside plants start to fail.

Is my reasoning sound? If anyone else does this then what's the latest that you sow for a late crop in the PT?

Thanks

Philip
