Has anyone successful grown comfrey in a container?  I'm very wary planting it in the allotment.
Still glowing, still growing, still going strong!

Why?  It is not invasive.  It is easy to kill by mulching - certainly not by digging.

To answer your question : yes, I have grown some in containers.  I would suggest that any container needs to give at least 3ft soil depth if plants are to mature there.  Mostly I use containers for first year only.

Thanks, WG. I'll give it a try. There's such a lot of invasive stuff on the allotment - especially the mares tail - that I didn't want to introduce more!

 P.S. You're an early bird - I woke up thinking about buying longer poles to support my runner beans !!!
