This is a big THANK YOU to all of you duckies on the forum. I'd read in an old-ish thread some time ago that you can give honey water to a newly hatched duckling if it looks a little weak. I had one who had struggled to hatch last night/this morning and was just looking exhausted so I tried the honey in water trick and the little one has perked up brilliantly! Still not out of the woods I suspect, but definitely stronger! Thanks so much all of you

So glad it is doing well now. I've had a couple that just seem like the hatch took all their energy and seem completely done in but it really seems to perk them up.

Thanks Kate  latest is that the little one has gone from strength to strength, and is doing brilliantly! I think I have 'honey water junkies' now though - they peck my hand looking for the tea spoon whenever I change their water!!
